Following the Roman conquest of Wales, taking control of Caerleon from the Silures tribe, Caerleon is chosen as a site of one of the three permanent legionary fortresses in Roman Britain.
Caerleon falls into Norman hands and Gilbert de Clare embarks on a renovation of the castle, rebuilding it in stone and extending its grounds.

Whatever the occasion they have the perfect venue to help you in celebrating your special occasion. In general they can accommodate functions for up to 150 guests in their restaurant or bar and up to 32 guests in the private dining space (The Panel Room).
They offer both 2 and 3 course function menus presenting a wide variety of dishes to choose from. Also available for more informal events is the buffet function menu.
